BIOGRAPHY
Nicholas is an actor and singer who has worked in various entertainment mediums, ranging from film and theatre to musical, opera and pop-opera. Originally from Romania, he is based in London and works internationally.
He began training as an opera singer at The National University of Music in Bucharest, graduating with a Bachelor and MA. During his studies and after graduating was cast in various productions in opera, musical and operetta such as 'The Barber of Seville', 'Don Pasquale', 'Gianni Schichi', 'The Merry Widow', 'Le Nozze di Figaro', 'Rebecca' The Musical, 'Romeo and Juliet', and many more.
He has also been invited as a special guest in festivals such as 'Ionel Perlea Festival', 'Contemporary Music Festival', 'Life is beautiful Festival' and 'Brasov Song Festival'.
Nicholas has participated in numerous national and international singing competitions where he won various prizes ranging from the First Prize at the 'Martian Negrea Singing Competition' in 2005, First Prize at the 'Paul Constantinescu Singing Competition' in 2008, to the Third Prize at the 'Schubert International Singing Competition' in 2009 and Special Prize of the Jury at the 'Ion Dacian Competition' in 2011.
Since 2010 he started branching out towards other styles including musical and pop opera/ crossover starring in musicals and pop opera shows.
As an actor, Nicholas appeared in the modern re-telling of Shakespeare's 'The twelfth night' as the story teller in the 'Shakespeare Festival' at the Comic Theatre in Bucharest, and also in various feature films and commercials.
Moving to London he starred as The Conductor in the fifth instalment of 'Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation', short films such as 'The Swallow' which was selected in many international short film competitions, commercial campaigns such as the 'Ladbrokes Life' and musicals and pantos.
His most recent work is the new musical 'Marco Polo, An Untold Love Story' which premiered at The Shaw Theatre in 2016 with both audience and critical success, 'Little Red Riding Hood' Panto with The Carousel Theatre and the upcoming Drama Reconstruction 'Great History Murders' in the role of Yakov Yurovsky.
